Shopping for School

So this could possibly be my least favorite part of Back To School.
Shopping!

Shopping with four children!

Shopping with a teenager, pre-teen and two little ones!

Shopping while trying to make sure that uniforms fit, shoes are the style everyone wants and they fit with room to grow.

Shopping with a tired 5 year old who has to use the PUBLIC restrooms every two seconds...(why do they always wait until you're in public)

Shopping with a 6 year old who watched Simone Biles' floor routine (she's incredible BTW) and is now cartwheeling and flipping all over the place...stores included.

Shopping while asking the older girls to control their brother while I find a suitable pair of shoes for their sister and both girls are sitting down quietly asking him to behave...because that's going to work.

Shopping while the heavens decided to open up and drench every one of us as we make a mad dash to the car with arms full of bags. The little ones scream with glee as they play in the rain and I try desperately not to let the $100's of dollars worth of school books get soaked because I'm pretty sure I'll have to return most of them since none of the schools ever get the book lists right ahead of time.

Now I'm faced with a very large pile of clothing that needs to be hemmed (older girls skirts are too long) and ironed.

I'm counting down the days until they go back to school.
They're asleep. I have wine.
I'm a happy mummy now.
